Professional pooch rescuer spends 8 days saving wild momma dog and her three pawdorable puppies, giving the fuzzy family a chance for a new life in the new year

Hey there, animal fam. When we were younger, we dreamed of being an astronaut or a fireman, but if we could change our profession as an adult, we would like to be a professional dog rescuer. Imagine how much kindness and goodness you get to bring to the world by changing the lives of all the doggos you meet. It must be a hard job, having to see dogs in all sorts of pawsitively terrible situations, but you literally save their lives. We can't imagine anything more heartwarming and feel-good than that!

This is a real job, by the way. A select few wholesome hoomans devote their lives to rescuing stray, wild, or abandoned dogs, giving them the chance for a new, healthy life, full of love. After spending eight days searching for a momma dog and her babies in the jungles of Thailand, this professional pooch rescuer successfully found her hidden puppies and got them to safety.     niall.harbison This is one of the harder rescues we've had to do in a while. I spotted mum on a mountain road 8 days ago. She'd been dumped up there with young puppies. Discarded and unwanted. That's bad enough but it is rainy monsoon season here at the moment so it was especially cruel.

  • “We first went up with 8 people to look for them. I know by now the mums will often hide their puppies up to 100-300 yards away from the road and human danger. They'll then go and find food and bring it back to the puppies. Often regurgitating it to keep them alive.”

    We can't imagine what it must be like for a momma dog in the wild. Your whole life must be so stressful. Hiding your puppies, hoping no one finds them, spending all day going out looking for food and bringing it back to them…that's no way for a doggo to live. Sure, it's pawssible, but we're pretty sure that after some adjustment, they would all enjoy living in a comfy home much, much more!

    I went back every day to bring her food but no matter how hard we looked, no puppies. I started to doubt if they existed but I could see how much she was eating so kept at it. Luckily 2 days ago I got a tip from some locals. 3 puppies had been spotted.

    We eventually found them hidden deep in the jungle. With the weather I don't think they would have survived much longer. Mum had done an incredible job.

    We brought them in to @wearehappydoggo where they are scared but they have each other. I'll share some videos in my stories of trying to catch mum. She just wouldn't come even with the puppies. So we decided we will try and dart her or sedate her with food tomorrow. It's not easy to leave her there but I was back up with food for her twice today and she is relaxed, healthy and happy. I've no doubt we'll catch her too. The rescue has taken 8 days and about 40 man hours so far and will probably ta

  • Look at those cutie-patootie faces! We can't get over how awwdorable they are. They're going to have good lives from here on out. No more hiding in a den in the rain, always fearing for predators and whatever else may come their way. The only thing they're going to have to worry about is when hooman mom and dad run out of peanut butter for them to snack on!
